The 33rd Annual California Strawberry Festival was held on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 at Oxnard College Park.

At the Strawberry Festival there were booths, cooking demonstrations, contests, food, rides, Strawberryland for kids, and many other attractions. Many organizations participated in the Strawberry festival selling all sorts of food with strawberries. Churches participated and High Schools, such as Pacifica and Oxnard participated selling food.

People came from everywhere, causing the 101 Freeway and Oxnard streets to have a lot of traffic.

Tickets were either purchased on site, at the festival, or online. Tickets cost $12 for General Admission, $8 for Seniors, $5 for Children Aged 5-12, and free for Children Under 4.

Free shuttles were available to take people if they didn’t have a ride.

“I went to the Strawberry Festival this year, it was fun!” Said eighth grader, Junay B.
