According to SB NATION  on Sunday January 14 the 12-5

New Orleans Saints traveled to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to face the 13-3 Minnesota Vikings. As the first quarter came to an end the Vikings had come out to an amazing start already leading 10-0. The team would use that momentum on offense to lead 17-0 at half time, while being led by quarterback Case Keenum and running back Latavius Murray.

After halftime however, the momentum shifted as quarterback Drew Brees

threw a touchdown pass to receiver Michael Thomas. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score was now   17-7.

The 4th quarter of this classic football game would be one of the best to have

watched. The Saints struck first as veteran quarterback Brees threw his second touchdown pass to Michael Thomas closing the score to only 17-14.

The Vikings wouldn’t go unanswered as kicker Kai Forbath nailed a 49 yard

field goal making it 20-14. Rookie Alvin Kamara wouldn’t let his team down without a fight as he caught a 14 yard touchdown pass giving the Saints their first lead of their game at 21-20.

However, Minnesota would charge down the field and kai Forbath would nail

another field this one from 53 yards! The score was now 23-21. Brees would lead his team down the field with only 1:29 left. He would throw for 42 yards on that drive alone and kicker Wil Lutz made a 43 yard field goal which then gave the lead back to New Orleans at 24-23.

With just 25 seconds left on the clock and 1 timeout the Vikings needed a

miracle. Case Keenum threw a beautiful ball to receiver Stefon Diggs. This 64 yard touchdown would end this nail biting game with a final score of 29-24. The Minnesota Vikings move on in the playoffs to face the Philadelphia eagles.
